WELCOME TO MY FIRST WEB PAGE!
Hello, there! My name is Annabelle
Ward. My mother, Ann, and I have been raising American Fuzzy Lops since 1998. We are located in Edmond, Oklahoma.
I first fell in love with "Fuzzies" when my mother and I went to a rabbitry in Norman, OK. Mom was interested
in buying some rabbits. As she was looking over her choices, I wandered off, as I always do. In a cage in dark
corner of the barn, something caught my eye. As I walked towards the cage, this little furry "thing" came
to the door to greet me. I fell in love at first sight. Although this little bunny was dirty, matted and out of
condition, I HAD to have him. I purchased the poor little urchin, named him Whiskey, and took him home.
Mom thought I was crazy to buy this ugly little, floppy-eared, HAIRY rabbit. After getting him settled in, I realized
there was no way I could comb this mess of a rabbit out. I had been to beauty school, and was experienced in cutting
hair, so Whiskey got the first crew cut I had ever performed on a rabbit. He truly was pathetic; big fat furry head,
and a tiny little naked body. However, in less than 3 months, he had gained weight, grown an incredible new coat of
dense wool, and looked like a totally different rabbit. After hundreds of baby coat and summer crew cuts,
I now consider myself a "hare care professional".
